Reid Roubion is a general contractor that has been in the commercial construction industry for 25 years. Reid started his career early in his hometown of Destrehan, LA, as a Journeyman Plumber in his family's commercial plumbing company. Once he graduated from LSU with a degree in Construction Management, Reid held the positions of Surveyor, Superintendent, Project Manager, and Estimator, all with large commercial companies in south Louisiana. Reid married long-time Covington native, Anna Smith, and they reside in Covington with their four children. Reid and his wife both grew up in a family-run small business, so they not only understand the meaning of hard work, but the value of quality services built on trusting relationships. After Reid succeeded and grew in every position he held in the construction industry, he knew the only position left to fill was Owner. Reid and Anna formed and developed Red Ox Construction to provide quality general contracting services, with hopes of continuing the family traditions that preceded them. 

Reid recalled a story his grandfather told him when they were working together on a plumbing job those 25 years ago. It was about a "big red bull" that kept the smaller cows in the field safe from the dangerous animals. Reid decided as a young child that his future construction company would be called "Red Bull Construction". Fast forward 20 years, and "Red Bull" was already taken by a popular energy drink! Anna suggested Red "Ox", as an equally strong name, but with a nod to the ox-lots (present-day parking lots) found throughout her hometown, and the company's home base, of historic downtown Covington. Fun fact: Reid and Anna renovated a historic Smith family home (circa 1885) into their offices, and they now share an ox lot with the general store that's been owned and operated by the Smith family since 1876!
